Just yesterday Camden really started to wake up - spending a bit more time with his eyes wide open. This morning, since about 6:30, he's been laying next to me wide awake making all sorts of noises (most resembling those of a goat or lamb). He's starting to fill out too, looking more and more like his big brother (but a darker version).
My mom reports that he does not look like me when I was a baby ... "but he has your coloring."

What was supposed to happen today ...
Today marks Camden's official due date. Instead, we've had the pleasure of his company for the last two weeks. Of course, Camden marked the occasion with his grumpiest night and day ever ... which still wasn't very grumpy :)
Kiddo C got up at 1:30 a.m. to use the bathroom. An hour or so later Camden exploded in poop. An hour or so later Camden was spitting up. I think the milk is flowing too fast or he's gulping a lot of water - the spitting up seems to be getting worse. Hopefully it'll all start to balance out soon. Before we went to bed last night, Camden nursed every hour on the hour from about 5 till 10 - he acted like he'd eat through my shirt if I didn't let him in. I think someone is having a growth spurt - and I told him not too because I want him to stay small!
I did catch a picture of Camden semi-smiling, but I'm too tired to (a) find the camera and (b) upload it, so be on the lookout for that.
Anyway, even a Grumpy Camden is pretty easy to deal with.
I should also say that Kiddo C ran some errands with me yesterday and was very well behaved. He spent much of the day at the House of Toys today and was good for us the rest of the day and went down easily for bed.
So, two sweet boys.
My mom arrives tomorrow for her first more-than-five-day visit. Wha ha ha ha! Nothing like Texas in July to make the longest visit ever ;)
=====
For something humorous, I asked Husband to run to Walmart while he was running to pick up Chinese and a couple movies. I needed a refill of handsoap and breast pads. Some quotes upon his arrival home:
Husband: "Breast pads are expensive."
Husband: "I wasn't sure if 'Ultra-Thin' was a good thing or a bad thing. A bad thing like they absorb less or a good thing like they were less obvious."
Husband: "I just bought the cheapest ones."

I should also mention that I'm in a ton of trouble! Cricut is coming out with a Disney's Cars cartridge! Click here to view the images. They're also releasing a Sesame Street cartridge! Oh geez.

So Tired
Camden had his two-week checkup today. He's up to 8 lbs. and 14 oz. - a whole pound! He's also 21 1/2" now - a whole 1/2". We were at the base hospital for nearly two hours and he probably screamed for a good hour of it! He never screams like that, so he's pretty much been asleep ever since - really wore himself out. He didn't like all the nudity and prying and poking. He also had to get his second PKU screen, so there was more milking of the foot. Poor guy.
The doctor had some concern over the blood flow to his legs. He couldn't get a pulse in his thigh area, but the blood pressures came through fine so it's likely nothing. The doctor wants to see him back in two weeks, though, just to make sure.
After the 30th, he shouldn't have to go back till early September! Kiddo C will have his three-year well appointment then too (only 6 months late - I didn't know he needed one).

Sleeping like a baby ...
Kiddo C went to bed at 4 p.m. today. He went to child care this morning and then to the commissary with me. Once we arrived home he was bouncing off the walls and throwing fits left and right ... so off to bed. Husband attempted to wake him up at 5 p.m. but he didn't stir. Oh well. Every few months this seems to happen. Let's call it a growth spurt.
